
eMoney Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) set forth the conditions applicable to the use of the eMoney Service (Former elife Points Service ; hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) provided to customers who hold an account on https://elife.clinic/ and https://shop.elife.clinic/ (collectively referred to as the “Site”).

To participate in this Service, users must have an account on the Site. No additional registration or procedures are required. By using this Service (hereinafter referred to as the “User”), you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. Please read them carefully before use. These Terms constitute part of the Site’s Terms of Use. For matters not stipulated herein, the Site’s Terms of Use, and other rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures shall apply.
Granting of eMoney
- eMoney is granted under the conditions and at the rate determined by elife in the following cases:
- (1) When a User purchases products designated by elife that are sold on the Site (the “Eligible Products”); or
(2) When a User uses or participates in services, software, features, campaigns, or offers designated by elife (collectively, the “Eligible Services,” and together with Eligible Products, the “Eligible Transactions”). Details of Eligible Transactions will be announced on the Site. - elife reserves the right to determine all conditions regarding eMoney, including granting, amount, rate, timing, invalidation, and timing of invalidation. The User agrees to comply with elife’s decisions.
- For Eligible Products, provisional eMoney (“Pending eMoney”) will be granted when the order is confirmed. Pending eMoney cannot be used for payment. They will become “Available eMoney” and can be used for payment once the conditions described below are met.
- Pending eMoney has started being granted for purchases made on or after April 2, 2024, on shop.elife.clinic, and for purchases made on or after June 17, 2024, on elife.clinic.
- As a general rule, Pending eMoney become Available eMoney 30 days after the payment date for Eligible Products.
- If part or all of an Eligible Transaction is paid using eMoney, the eMoney-equivalent amount will be excluded from the base amount used to calculate new eMoney.
- Gift wrapping fees, shipping fees, and handling fees are excluded from the eMoney-granting calculation.
- If an order is canceled or returned before the Pending eMoney become Available eMoney, those Pending eMoney will be voided and no Available eMoney will be granted.
Use of eMoney
- Available eMoney can be converted into “Loyalty Tickets,” which may be used as payment (in whole or in part) for designated products or services. Each eMoney is equivalent to 1 JPY.
- elife may restrict the products or services eligible for eMoney use and may set specific conditions for redemption.
- Loyalty Tickets cannot be used on any site other than the Site and cannot be reused once redeemed.
- An account where eMoney or Loyalty Tickets are used is considered to have been accessed by the rightful owner when the correct email address and password are entered. elife is not responsible for unauthorized use if the correct login credentials are entered, and no refund of used eMoney or Loyalty Tickets will be made.
- If an order purchased with a Loyalty Ticket is canceled or returned, the ticket will generally be reinstated to your account; however, the original expiration date will not be extended.
- elife reserves the right to impose limits on the number or value of Loyalty Tickets that may be used per order, per month, etc., and these limits may change without notice. Users agree to comply with such changes.
Expiration and Invalidation of eMoney
- Unless otherwise specified, eMoney is valid for 6 months (180 days) from the date of acquisition.
- eMoney expires upon reaching their expiration date.
- Pending eMoney that do not become Available eMoney within a certain period may expire without prior notice.
- Expired eMoney cannot be used or recovered, and elife bears no responsibility or compensation for expired eMoney.
- elife will not provide any compensation or take anu responsability for expired eMoney.
Expiration and Invalidation of Loyalty Tickets
- Loyalty Tickets converted from eMoney are valid for 30 days from the date of conversion.
- Loyalty tickets will expire when they reach their expiration date.
- Expired Loyalty Tickets cannot be used.
- elife assumes no liability and will provide no compensation for the loss or the expiration of loyalty tickets
Checking eMoney and Loyalty Tickets
- Users can check their eMoney balance and transaction history on their account’s eMoney page.
- Updates to My Page may take some time.
- If you have questions regarding your balance or transaction history, please contact Customer Support promptly.
- Final decisions will be made by elife, and Users agree to abide by such decisions.
Invalidation of eMoney
- If a product order is canceled or returned after eMoney have been granted, elife may deduct those eMoney from the User’s account or subtract the corresponding value from the refund amount.
- If the balance is insufficient, elife may charge the User for the shortage.
- elife may also deduct eMoney or charge their equivalent value if they were obtained through illegal, fraudulent, or rule-violating actions, or at elife’s discretion if deemed inappropriate.
- elife may offset or recover such amounts without prior notice from any payments owed to the User, including by deduction, reversal, or credit card charge. Users must pay any invoiced amount within 30 days of receipt.
- elife assumes no responsibility or compensation for invalidated eMoney, except where Users have a valid claim for damages under the Site’s Terms of Use or other applicable rules.
Invalidation of Loyalty Tickets
- If an order paid with a valid Loyalty Ticket is canceled or returned, the Loyalty Ticket and the corresponding amount will be refunded; however, the ticket’s expiration date will remain unchanged.
- elife may invalidate Loyalty Tickets or claim their equivalent value if they were obtained or used through illegal or inappropriate means.
- Offset, deduction, and recovery terms are identical to those for eMoney.
- elife is not liable for any invalidated Loyalty Tickets except as otherwise provided by the Site’s Terms of Use.
Emails Related to eMoney and Loyalty Tickets
Users agree to receive notifications from elife by electronic means (email or publication on the Site) concerning eMoney and Loyalty Tickets, including balance updates, expiration dates, campaigns, and other important announcements.
Additional Terms
- eMoney and Loyalty Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash.
- No change (cash or eMoney) will be provided for partial payments using eMoney or Tickets.
- Transfer, resale, or assignment of eMoney and Loyalty Tickets is strictly prohibited.
- Only the registered account holder may use their eMoney or Tickets; they cannot be used by third parties.
- eMoney and Tickets from multiple accounts cannot be combined.
- Any taxes or fees arising from the granting or use of eMoney or Tickets are the responsibility of the User.
- elife reserves the right to invalidate eMoney or Tickets obtained or used in violation of these Terms or other rules, and to claim payment for any equivalent value.
- elife may suspend, withhold, or cancel any transaction involving eMoney or Tickets if fraudulent activity or violations are suspected.
- eMoney and Loyalty Tickets may only be used in accordance with the conditions set by elife. Any use inconsistent with their intended purpose is strictly prohibited.
Disclaimer
- elife reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate these Terms, or the content of eMoney and Loyalty Tickets, without prior notice.
- elife makes no express or implied warranties regarding the operation of the Service.
- elife shall not be liable for damages arising from communication failures, power outages, system errors, data loss, or other issues related to the Service.
- If a User closes or loses access to their Site account, all related eMoney and rights under this Service will be forfeited, and no claims against elife will be accepted.
- The above does not affect Users’ statutory rights to claim damages under the Site’s Terms of Use or applicable laws.
