    What is Basidiomycete Culture Extract AHCC®?

    AHCC® stands for Active Hexose Correlated Compound, and is a basidiomycete culture extract obtained by cultivating the mycelium of basidiomycetes (mushrooms) for an extended period of time in large tanks.
    AHCC® is not derived from the edible part of mushrooms (fruiting body), but from the mycelium, which is the root part that spreads in soil, wood, etc. AHCC® is produced by cultivating the mycelium of shiitake mushrooms.

    In regular mushroom products, the main ingredient is said to be β-glucan, but AHCC® contains a special glucan called acylated α-1,4 glucan. AHCC® is manufactured exclusively at Amino Up Co., Ltd.'s factory.
